Design and manage the prototype builds of heat exchangers for military, aerospace, and spacecraft applications. Details of prototyping tasks included running shock and vibrational FEA on heat exchangers and static pressure FEA on tanks. Other duties consisted of bringing in, managing, and maintaining 3D printers, creating manufacturing processes and routings, generating schedules, meeting with clients, and helping manufacturing departments meet deadlines.

This job required working with multiple companies in a variety of fields. Most notably I was positioned at  Rolls Royce Nuclear for 2 years designing remote-operated robotic inspection crawlers and other tooling. The purpose of these tools were to inspect and retrieve foreign material from nuclear generators. I also created accompanying 3D renderings and animations of models needed for presentations. I gained valuable experience and insight into the food and medical industry as well as injection molding while holding this position.

COALITION BMX BICYCLES

Designed high-quality bicycle components that must withstand undergoing frequent, varying, and intense forces and stresses. Other primary focuses consisted of creating engineering templates and procedures. All designs, FEA simulations, and renderings of BMX parts were done in Solidworks and Keyshot.
